Who's behind O’odham Media?

O’odham Media is led by Trinity Norris, from Sells District on the Tohono O’odham Nation, a Native American journalist and photographer with ties to the community. Norris holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a digital journalism emphasis and a master’s in global media from the University of Arizona.

By blending academic training with a community-first approach, O’odham Media aims to challenge stereotypes, celebrate cultural complexity and ensure O’odham stories are told with integrity and care. Through written work and photography, the platform provides a space where O’odham voices are not only preserved but heard.

Tucson Spotlight is hosting O’odham Media on its platform and offering editorial support for its digital and print newsletters; however, O’odham Media remains fully independent and guided by its own community-focused mission.

Readers can access O’odham Media content through the dedicated tab at the top of the Tucson Spotlight homepage and in the newsletter.
